BE SERIOUS..THIS COUNTRY IS FACING HEADWINDS!!
I am quited disturbed by the various actions, opinions, remarks, comments , and bravado sabre rattling by some people ..in and outside of Government and politics.
First the destruction of the decades old sculpture in Kuala Lumpur. Then the attacks on that harmless , lifeless symbol of the Helang in Langkawi. It could have been our National flower the Hibiscus..or our famous animals..the Tiger and the Kancil.
No Muslim would EVER regard those symbolic structures as " objects of Worship " ! And erode our Aqidah !
Of course, some of those represent business opportunites to some..as the land upon which they are standing may have potential for making money.
There is talk of relocating my Alma Mater..and that of thousands of girls..that is the Convent Bukit Nanas. That has been denied ..and I do hope that denial is for good !
AND , in a curious , UNBELIEVABLE turn of events ..someone said that the Government can even bring down the TWIN TOWERS ..if it wanted to ERASE a former leader's legacy!
AM I HEARING RIGHT ?
THE TWIN TOWERS IS NOT A PERSONAL LEGACY OF TUN as such..BUT A LEGACY OF THE COLLECTIVE GOVERNMENT OF THE TIME, which represents how far we have come as a rapidly developing Nation..
That the WORLD ACKNOWLEDGES..
ARE WE ADOPTING THE OSAMA BIN LADIN and THE TALIBAN approaches to things?
Does not HERITAGE mean ANYTHING TO ANYONE IN AUTHORITY ?
OUR COLLECTIVE PAST...OUR HISTORY..
WHAT we stood and still stand for?
AGAIN WE HEAR OF TALK OF MAY 13 STYLE of "Defending the MALAYS".
I AM A MALAY.
....I DO NOT NEED TO BE DEFENDED BY XENOPHOBIC , UNTHINKING INDIVIDUALS..who wants to " support LEADERS to the last drop of blood". THAT BLIND , MINDLESS LOYALTY!
Why not be prepared to DEFEND MALAYSIA to ones last drop of blood?
In fact Malays do NOT want such manner of " defending "..except perhaps the blinkered few.
We want peace..and harmony..AND RESPONSIBLE GOVERNANCE...so that this country can continue to integrate us into the mainstream of the Economic and Social Development. And for Malays to be epitomes of Excellence..and worthy of Respect..AND , because of our capabilities , and competencies..CAN COMPETE WITH ANYONE AT ALL..
PLEASE ..ALL OF YOU WHO HAVE BEEN ENTRUSTED WITH RUNNING THIS COUNTRY...
CUT OUT THE TRIVIALITIES ..AND WHAT SOMETIMES ARE BORDERING ON THE RIDICULOUS AND INCREDULOUS ..
CONCENTRATE ON PUTTING THE COUNTRY BACK ON THE RIGHT TRACKS..CUT THE TALK and please get out of the DENIAL MODE ..
THERE IS SO MUCH TO DO..PLEASE DO NOT WASTE ENERGY AND TIME ON POLITICAL SHENANIGANS...AND ON RABBLE ROUSING..
